Cedarvale is a picturesque natural hamlet in the greater urban area of Toronto. Residents of Cedarvale get a little bit of everything: the serenity of being in nature and the excitement of being in a major city. Much of the area is organized for a tight-knit community so you will find the necessary privacy while also being close to people to socialize with. Outdoorsy folks love being close to the large and dense Cedarvale Park as well as numerous smaller parks and playgrounds. Working professionals have the ease of being about 20 minutes away from downtown Toronto.

Cedarvale has some excellent selections within the neighborhood to have a date night or grab takeout. Marron Bistro is a great choice for dinner, serving kosher French cuisine with a cozy, refined flair. Guests can settle into the dining room for indulgent cocktails and dishes.
 
The French FK is a highly rated, modern dining experience. Pukka is an Indian restaurant with a trendy infusion. Jerusalem Restaurant is a neighborhood favorite for Middle Eastern cuisine with a variety of vegetarian options. A spot the whole family will love in Cedarvale is Thobors Boulangerie Patisserie and Cafe, a bakery and cafe that sells artisan bread, treats, and chocolates made by Parisian trained chefs. It is a great spot to grab a cup of coffee and a snack or a box of pastries for the family breakfast. Speaking of coffee, Hunter Coffee Shop is a popular local stop in Cedarvale for specialty Joe on the go. 
 
Cedarvale is close to the major shopping areas of Toronto. A fun find nearby is the Gypsy Found Object boutique, an independent vintage store that boasts a constant rotation of new finds and interesting treasures.
 

Things to Do

The biggest draw of the Cedarvale neighborhood is its surrounding natural preserves and greenery. It's a wonderful resource for creating lovely places all around the Cedarvale community with local parks dotting the neighborhoods. Not only does Cedarvale Park have excellent spots to hike, but it has untouched forested areas in the Ravine where wildlife can be spotted. Sledding on the sloping hills is a popular winter pastime. There are also bike trails, tennis courts, playgrounds, and dog parks for a full day of fun. 
 
Art lovers are right at home in Toronto and find Petroff Gallery in the Cedarvale area a wonderful place to view handmade works of ceramic, glass, jewelry, photography, and painting. A neighborhood is not complete without a local gym, and Cedarvale residents have the local SXS fitness to hop into before and after work.
